Why Bits, Bobs & Odd Jobs

Because we love DIY and know it can be tricky to get right. With our expert team we have the knowledge and ability to carry out all DIY jobs to a high standard with a smile and love for what we do.

Can I send you a picture of the works I need carried out?

Pictures are incredibly helpful so please do send us a pictures of the jobs you would like carried out. This really helps us work out with what we need and how long the job will take.

What if I have a specific request?

Please give us a ring and speak to our very helpful team in the office, we will try our best to help you. If we can’t we have a large network of people and companies we can recommend who will.

I am a landlord or property agent and manage a number of properties, can I book multiple visits?

Yes we have a very good booking and operating platform that holds your details as well as the individual property details. We can keep track of the time taken for each job and a history of our visits and what we did, not only that but once our team member has finished each individual task they can take pictures and upload to our system, we can then email you a job report with pictures attached to help you manage maintenance from a distance.

Do you charge for quotes?

No, we don’t. Quotes are free and our rates are very competitive.

Do I need to supply the materials?

If you have the materials that is great, but if not, our team member can happily pop out to the local merchant and get what is needed. We will try our best to come prepared but sometimes this is not possible, so will need to either return or pop out.

How do I book?

Please ring Bits Bobs and Odd Jobs HQ on 02082 445 070 and speak with our team or fill out the form on our contact page and we will come back to you. If you have not used us before they will need your name and a list of the works you would like carried out, the property address, your contact number and finally your email address. Once you have agreed a time and date our operating system will automatically send you a diary confirmation email.

I'm not sure how much time to book - can you help?

Yes, we would be delighted to advise. Please ring our office and talk through the works you require, if you need to please send us pictures this can really help us to gauge what time you would need and what materials may be required. Should we feel that the works are slightly larger and may take over a day or for example, you would like your property redecorated we would need to arrange a site visit to give an accurate quotation.

What if I don't need the full time I have booked?

We will only charge you for the time you used. We do have a minimum call out of one hour but should we finish early please have a job or two up your sleeve to make the most of the full hour!

I need more time or have more jobs - can I extend the time?

Should the works take longer due to unforeseen circumstances, or you have more works you would like doing, we will try our upmost to extend the time of the handyman’s visit. If this is not possible we will advise on availability and look to rebook you in as soon as possible.

What is the minimum call out fee?

Our minimum call out is £85+VAT for one of our handymen, £100+VAT for one of our electricians, or £105+VAT for one of our plumbers.

Do you also do larger projects like kitchens and bathrooms?

Absolutely! Please get in touch.

Do you also offer maintenance services?

Yes! Please get in touch.

How do I pay?

Once we have completed the works we will ring you to check you are happy with our service. We will then email your invoice and you can pay over the phone, by BACS transfer, or follow the payment link on our emailed invoice and pay online. Please quote the invoice number in the reference box so we can trace your payment.

From the outset the communication was fantastic. They were very responsive and asked questions before giving their quote which was much appreciated. I live aboard and I requested the on-site handyman to communicate via WhatsApp which they were happy to accommodate which made everything much easier to arrange. The handyman that attended was on time and professional giving his opinion on what should be done and completed the work to a high standard (re-grouting bathroom tiles, repairing water damage and fixing a front door closing mechanism). Overall very impressed and would certainly recommend them and use them again.

I used the company to help with a list of minor repairs and painting for my property - wanted someone who could get this done quickly, with good quality finish and a reasonable price. Very happy with the experience and I will use them again. Having the support from the office team to coordinate the logistics was also useful, as a busy professional.
